Local knowledge makes the difference

Watton is a great place to learn to drive, offering a mix of quiet residential roads and busier A-roads for developing awareness and control

Many of my learners start on roads near Norwich Road, Swaffham Road, and Griston Road, before moving on to faster routes toward Shipdham or Dereham.

When you’re ready, I’ll help you prepare for your driving test at either the Bury St Edmunds or Norwich test center, depending on which suits you best.

Driving Lesson FAQs

How many driving lessons will I need before I can take my test?

The average learner in the UK takes around 40–45 hours of professional driving lessons, plus private practice. However, everyone learns at their own pace, we will assess your progress and advise when you’re test ready.

If booking a single 1 hour lesson, this costs £50. 2-hour lessons cost £90.

If you’re booking a block of 5 lessons, this costs £425 (£25 discount)

You are free to book lessons in blocks if preferred as this will save you money in the long run.

I work with both the Bury St Edumunds and Norwich test centres, the test centre you partake your test in will be whichever is closest to your location.

The vehicle is a Polo R Line 110 model, 1.0 tsi which has a manual six-speed gearbox.
